|PUPPIES BORN PREMATURE THURSDAY JANUARY 24 2019
Pick up date will depend on how these pups catch up.
While 8 weeks will be March 23/24 and will be my target for letting them
go to new homes, there is a good chance they will need an extra week or
two with us to finish developing. We will solidify pick up dates as they
grow up. Please be patient, understanding and flexible.

||Large Mini Size
||Physically: low energy for the breed, 1-2 hours of off leash running per day
Mentally: low energy for the breed needing 1-2 hours per day of training.
||Minimal - moderate Reserve. Both Parents are very friendly but there is some reserve
Premature puppies just like premature babies, were born before they should have been and require more help and attention to get them to an adoptable age.
These pups do not have all of their expected fur so they can not hold their body heat. Any puppy can die if they get chilled but typically they can get enough heat
from mom and siblings. Premature puppies can not absorb enough heat so they need to stay in an incubator to maintain body temperature. Puppies will be put
in with mom every 2 hours around the clock to encourage bonding and nursing. These pups are also not nursing at birth, so while we are encouraging them to
figure it out, we are also tube feeding them to help them stay healthy. Tube feeding instead of bottle feeding helps the puppies save their energy for growing and
not using energy to nurse. It also means I know exactly how much formula each puppy is getting at each feeding, there is no guess work.
Puppies will be weighed in grams every 12 hours to ensure no one is falling behind.
As with all premies, survival is not guaranteed. We started with a lier of 6 and are down to 2 puppies.
They pick up germs and bacteria extra easily and can not fight it off nearly as well. For this reason you MUST understand that any reservation is at the mercy of
how well the puppies do.
If you are interested in a puppy you may reach out to me, but you must understand we are not out of the critical stage just yet.
THESE PUPPIES WILL NOT BE DOCKED OR HAVE DEW CLAWS REMOVED. THEY WILL BE LEFT NATURAL.
This was the slowest delivery I've ever experienced. Puppy #1 arriving almost 36 hours before the last one decided to show up. So these guys get cute slow names.
